The complete album contains 87 identified tintype portraits of men and women. The album apparently was the property of William H. Burger of Boulder, Colo. Many of the persons pictured in the album were associated with the State Preparatory School in Boulder or the University of Colorado, Boulder, in about the 1890s.

Helen Sherman was born in Jamestown in 1892 and lived since 1910 at 624 Concord in Boulder.
